Corrie fell in love with dance at the age of 3, and has now dedicated herself to the art of teaching. Her dance experience includes a lifetime of classes, local competitions and workshops, high school dance team, and touring as a backup dancer for national recording artist Mulberry Lane. Corrie has a bachelor's degree from University of Nebraska, more than 15 years of teaching experience, and is a member of the Omaha Dance Teachers’ Association. She continues to expand her knowledge in the field and is constantly learning new dance and teaching styles. She recently helped SDA become the only studio in Nebraska to be certified through Acrobatic Arts, the only professional curriculum for acrobatic dance. Corrie hopes to continue to make STARS a place for students to work hard and accomplish goals in a loving, supportive, passionate atmosphere!
Chloe has been part of SDA since 2003, and has been a vital part of our family since day one. While in high school, she juggled taking every Senior Line class she could, participating in her high school dance team, and performing in every school musical. She is also an accomplished musician, performing drums and vocals with School of Rock for many years. Though she's a well-rounded dancer and teacher, Chloe's experience in music makes her an exceptional tapper! Chloe started assisting teachers in our dance classes when she was 12, has been an official member of our teaching faculty for four years, and is the head coach for the Roncalli High School dance team. She loves being in the studio sharing her passion for dance with her students, and we feel very lucky to have her sharing her performance expertise and love for dance!
Crystian has been dancing and performing with STARS since 2005. Since she was little, she has taken her craft very seriously- a trait that made her an amazing technician and one that she now passes on to her students. She seemlessly transitioned from student to teacher a few years ago, and brings with her the experience as captain of her high school dance team and four years of teaching experience. As a recent graduate of UNO, she is excited to have more time available to do what she truly loves - teaching and inspiring young dancers to work hard to reach their goals!
Lindsay fell in love with dancing at the age of two. She danced, competed and taught classes until she graduated high school, and though she took a few years off to pursue other passions and start a family, she never lost her love of dance. She's excited to be back in the studio for her third year as our office manager and beloved teacher. Lindsay is very excited for the opportunity to work with the students and teachers at STARS, and the feeling is mutual!
Kayla has been a key member of STARS since before we opened our doors. After high school, where in addition to teaching and competing at SDA she was a member of Papillion La-Vista dance team that often took home top honors and awards, she earned her BFA in dance from Stephens College and since then she has worked professionally in many productions and was a member of 940 Dance Company in Kansas City. Kayla has continued teaching classes in her time off from performing and we're proud to have this exceptionally talented dancer and teacher at SDA! When Kayla isn’t teaching and choreographing at the studio, she can be found chasing after her daughter, Addy, who is following after her mama’s dancer footsteps!
