One parent should attend class with your dancer this week to watch class! We'll also be kicking off our recital fundraiser this week AND sharing this year's recital theme + costumes + song choices for your class!! :)
Please keep attendees to a minimum as space in the studios is limited. Cameras are welcome in class so you can share with friends and family! Expect classes to end early this week to help clear the parking lot.
We'll be celebrating the holidays in class this week! Students must wear a leotard to class, but are invited to pile on the red and green, snowflake tights, Santa hats... anything that makes you feel festive!
Christmas music may be played during classes in December. If you'd prefer we stick to instrumental versions or general winter songs, please let us know. We want to enjoy the season while still respecting each family's beliefs.
Party Week: Saturday Dec 16 - Thursday Dec 21.
This is the proposed weekend for STARS Dance Academy's 16th annual recital! Dates and details are subject to change based on the school calendar, but we do everything in our power to keep this date secured!
More details will posted on our recital page this spring, including the rehearsal schedule, hair and makeup specifications, and call times.
The general timeline:
Saturday 8am-12pm = Rehearsal A
Saturday 1pm-4pm = Rehearsal B
Saturday 6pm = Recital A
Sunday 11am = Recital B
Our advanced dancers who wish to dance in the Honors, Junior and Senior lines during the 2018-2019 season should sign up for this weeklong camp leading up to the class placement auditions. It's a fun way to reconnect with classmates, try new dances, and get technique back in tip-top shape for their auditions on Friday afternoon!
Students can wear their favorite PJs to class all week!
*Please remember that we will still be dancing, so PJ dresses should be worn over a leotard for modesty. Students in our acro classes should wear a leotard under their outfits as well since they will still be going upside down :)
Full costume dress rehearsal at Bellevue East High School. Students must be in full hair and makeup, and have all of their costumes, shoes, and tights. All students will report backstage by 8:15am, and will be dismissed after their last number has rehearsed. More details, including the rehearsal schedule, on our recital page.
We've decided to keep the success of last year's recital fundraisers rolling this fall! We will be handing out information and order sheets for our AVON and Cookie Dough fundraisers during class the week of November 3-7. We will accept orders through November 20 at 9:00pm.
We appreciate your support during this fundraiser so we can keep our tuition as low as possible!
We're asking one parent to join their dancer in class this week. We encourage you to bring cameras to share the fun with friends and family, but space is limited in the studio so if possible, please limit the number attending and leave siblings at home.
We will show off our new dance skills, and discuss our recital fundraisers this week.
